Project background and objectives

Jam Strole, a freelance model since 2014 after an 11-year career, wanted a site that reflected her image: strong, sober, expressive, where every detail conveys her experience and her world.

The project's objective was twofold: to showcase her artistic career and to create a connection point for fashion enthusiasts. We needed an interface that was both personal and professional, capable of seducing brands, while creating a community space around fashion and the look.

Art direction & UI design

The site is built on a base of very deep, almost black blues, with touches of white for contrast. This combination creates an elegant, intense and immersive atmosphere, while evoking the high-end world of fashion.

The fonts chosen are contrasting: a stylized serif for titles and quotations, and a discreet sans serif for paragraphs. This typographic play reinforces the visual narrative: between tradition and modernity.

The interface highlights key phrases (e.g. "Each pose tells a story...") with careful placement and expressive typography. Content is well separated, and visuals take over from text where visual silence is stronger than words.

Few graphic elements, the emphasis is on photography and text. Pictograms are discreet and used only for navigation or buttons, to preserve a minimalist aesthetic.

The image of the model in black and white takes center stage, integrated into artistic compositions. The strong contrast and portrait format reinforce the emotional impact. It's the image that tells the story, and the site lets it do just that.

The "Discover" button is sober, white, framed and placed in a narrative block. It blends into the reading flow, without disrupting it, and leads naturally to the rest of the site or the community.

User experience and conversion logic

The user experience is fluid, immersive and designed like a personal exhibition. The path is free, but guided by the site's editorial structure. The user gradually discovers Jam's history, projects and universe.

Mobile navigation has been optimized to preserve the visual impact on small screens. Transitions are smooth, blocks well spaced out, and calls to action subtle but effective.

Skills mobilized

This project gave me the opportunity to work on an art direction focused on emotion and visual storytelling, with a high level of demand for text/image balance. The site was designed on Figma with a strong focus on composition, typography and visual density.

The SEO approach was also integrated in a discreet way: clean markup, well-structured texts, optimized performance, without sacrificing the purity of the design.
